*General Repair*

Panasonic Bath Fan - This fan has a built-in humidistat to help control excessive moisture and dry the bathroom out to help control organic groths such as mildew, mold or fungus. It also has a motion sensor to activate it for toilet use and then runs for a short time after. Although some of the stores like Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards are starting to stock this fan you may have to special order it. Also you can order it off the internet.

Door and windows - Dorglass,Inc - They have door and window parts for just about every manufacturer. Menards, Lowes, Ace Hardware, and Home Depot have some of the parts but not as many as Dorglass. Things like window cranks, weather stripping, screen door and window parts. Otherise, get on the internet and find the manufacturer that you have and do some research.

Plumbing Parts- First try the big home improvement stores then if you don't have any luck, try Park Supply (Mpls). 2727 East 26th St. Minneapolis, MN 55406 Phone: 612.822.3180. They have just about everything you need for plumbing parts and repairs.

Allied (United) Building Products - Building material company. Siding, fascia, door, windows, shingles, decking, skylights, and fencing. Many locations. Very competitive pricing.

AP Wagner Appliance Parts - Appliance parts for virtually all appliances sent right to your door.

FURNACE FILTERS - from ACE Supply Co. Inc. (locations)- Minnesota's #1 Wholesale Distributor; Commercial and Residential Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation Products and Accessories. Real extensive supply of furnace filters. They carry these fiber filters.

*Exterior Maintenance and Improvement Products*

BEST GUTTER SCREEN - from Quality Aluminum Products...
These aluminum gutter screens are called "Rain Trap" (stock#: RT-SLOCK) Inexpensive. Easy to install (slips under the shingles and then clips on the front of the gutter). Handles heavy rains very well. Special order these from Lowes (best location to order these), usuallly takes a few days (order at the Pro desk).
The last price I heard from them was $1.56 per ft.

Asphalt (in a bag) - Use to repair asphalt walkways and driveways. Clean the area first with the hose sprayer. Let dry then pour it out on a hot day put a board over it and tamp down with a hammer or your feet. Available at Menards (about $10)

Gutter parts and extentions - Comes in 10 ft. sections. Plastic or aluminum. Available at Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, and some hardware stores.

Parging and masonry wall repair - "QuikWall" is a product made by Quikcrete. Professionals say the product is great for masonry wall and parging repair. Check with your local supplier such as Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, and most home building material suppliers.

Glass Block Window Fans - These fans are made for glass block windows. If you need ventilation in a basement or bathroom with glass block windows this is one option. I don't think they are available locally but they do sent them out.

United Products - Building material company. Siding, fascia, door, windows, shingles, decking, skylights, and fencing. Many locations. Very competitive pricing.

*Caulk Sealants, Primers, and Paint*

BASF/ SONNEBORN SL1 - Concrete Crack and Seam Repair - SL1 is a one-component, non-priming, self-leveling elastomeric polyurethane designed for expansion joints in concrete floors and decks. Use it where flexibility, as well as abrasion and puncture resistance is required. Available at Allied Building Products and Brock/White

Polyurethane Caulk - Regular or self leveling - Use it to seal concrete seams and gaps. Available at most hardware stores, Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc.

Caulk Saver - Foam rope like material to stuff into cracks and gaps prior to caulking so you don't have to use as much caulk. Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, most hardware stores

Hilti Expanding Foam - Use it to fill voids and dracks. Some have used this successfully to support raised walkways. Available only at Home Depot and Hilti stores.

Vulkem or PL Sealant - Polyurethane, self-leveling. Used by many professionals to seal seams and cracks in concrete. Follow the directions. Use foam cords to stuff in large or deep cracks so you don't have to use so much sealant. Available at Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards.

Lexel Sealant/Caulk - Stays clear as glass and lets the color of the surfaces caulked show through until painted. Mold and mildew resistant when cured. May be used where paintable surfaces meet non-paintable (ie. Tile to wall, sink to counter, counter to wall. Interior/Exterior. Available at all Ace Hardware stores, some Do It Best and True Value stores.

Big Stretch® Sealant - Big Stretch acrylic latex caulk doesn't crack—it just stretches—up to 500%! Use it to caulk around doors, windows and siding. Big Stretch easily handles the movement all homes experience due to changes in temperature and humidity, wind, and season.

Cabot Deck Stain - Austrailian Timberwood - One of the best stains you can use on your deck and outdoor wooden structures. Available at various local and big box stores. Find a retailer

Cover Stain
(a Zinzer product) - An oil based primer that blocks stains, is sandable (to smooth rough walls), gives extra moisture protection (bathrooms, kitchens, exterior), interior/exterior, and dries in an hour. Available at most big box stores.

SPAR Varnish (Cabot) - Great varnish and water protection for interior (and exterior) wood windows and under counter tops. Available at Lowes, Fleetfarm, and Do-It-Best Hardware stores. Man-o-War is another good brand.
Zar Wood Stains - The best and easiest to use. Available at most professional paint stores. Find a retailer

- Fire retardant primer. Fire and mold protection in one application. Use where extra fire protection is desired. Follow manufacturers directions for application and use. They also make a fire resistant spray for fabric. Available at Menards.

Goodbye Cracks - Elastomeric spray which you spray over crack repairs before you paint and this product will flex and bend instead of crack. Follow directions! Available at Menards

Bondo - Use to repair rot on windows, doors, trim, etc. Available at auto repair stores and department stores. It dries quick so understand how to use it before you start. How to work with Bondo

RadonSeal - Penetrating Concrete Sealer/Water Proofer - It penetrates deep inside concrete (up to 4"), chemically reacts with lime and alkalis, expands into the microscopic pores of the masonry and hardens as a mineral. This seals concrete internally against water, water vapor, and even radon gas, combining concrete waterproofing, damp-proofing, concrete preservation, and radon mitigation in one product. *Cleaners, Maintenance Products*

The Works - Cleans, removes rust, mildew, calcium, lime, and soap scum. Use before sealing tile grout or any time you clean bathtub or shower. Available at Cub, Walmart, and Rainbow

Super Clean - Best cleaner I have ever found. also a degreaser. Takes "set in" stains out of clothing. Comes in spray bottle or gallon jug. Very inexpensive. Available at Walmart, and many automotive stores.

MOLDEX - Mold and Mildew Remover - It kills the spores. Use to clean bathrooms, kitchens, etc where what appears to be mold or mildew is present. They also make a Mold Blocker - Use this after cleaning to prevent the return of mold and mildew stains. Available at Menards

CONCROBIUM MOLD CONTROL - Great product containing no bleach, ammonia, or VOC's. Eliminates and prevents mold and mildew and eleminates msuty odors. Available at Home Depor, Lowes, Menards, Ace Hardware, and True Value Hardware.

Draino Gel (Yellow Bottle) - This drain cleaner is great for slow or clogged drains. It dissolves soap scum and hair. Follow directions. Available everywhere.

Perma Wash - Disinfectant, Fungicide, Virucide, Bactericide, Mildewcide, and
Mildewstat. EPA REGISTERED for mold & mildew control in Hospitals, Institutions and
Homes. Available at Menards

Urine Off - I am told this really works for removing pet urine smell...even cat urine.

Hydrogen Peroxide or White Vinegar - Use this to try to remove or lighten dark old pet stains on hardwood floors.

Invisible Glass - Great glass cleaner! Available at Walmart, Kmart, and Auto Stores

Sporicidin - A registered disinfectant for mold and mildew remediation. Available at many janitorial supply stores.

Wet and Forget - Cleaner for removing the dark or black streaks on roofing material. Where to buy.
